Trehaven

A stunning property with a stylish and modern finish. Located in the picturesque rural churchtown of Gulval, Trehaven is less than 100m from a family-friendly pub and has all the essential amenities close-by. Accepting up to 4 well-behaved dogs, Trehaven can sleep 10 people over 5 bedrooms with room for infants as well.

Catered to all the family, Trehaven’s secure garden, single story layout and wide open spaces are perfectly designed for all groups. With a mile-long stretch of dog friendly beach lying just under a kilometer away coupled with easy access to endless footpaths, Trehaven is ideally based for any family activity.

Centrally located for exploring the West Penwith and Cornwall, Trehaven is close to all the main routes. St Ives, just to the north is an artists’ mecca with The Tate, Barbara Hepworth Museum and Leach Pottery. There are also a delightful number of galleries, shops and restaurants. Surfers flock to Porthmeor Beach and the white-gold sands of Porthminster and Carbis Bay invite relaxation and sand castle fun. Sennen Cove close to Land’s End lies to the west. Nearby Penzance is the closest town for shops and has a leisure centre and an outdoor seafront 1930’s Lido. St. Michael’s Mount and Marazion can be walked or cycled to along the South-West Coastpath in one direction while the fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole are in the other.

Various attractions include Geevor, Levant and Poldark tin mines, Paradise Park wildlife centre with indoor jungle-gym. Flambards theme park, Country Skittles and Go-karting. Cornwall also has renowned beautiful gardens to enjoy. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Glendurgan, Trebah and Tremenheere sculpture garden to name but a few. The Penzance area has some outstanding pubs and restaurants serving locally sourced fresh produce and fish.



The Kitchen

Trehaven’s contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with a Smeg range-style electric oven and induction hob as well as microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The large island worktop doubles as a convient breakfast bar for easy family dining and socialising.



The Dining Room

Continuing through the open-plan living area is a large handmade wooden table with benches and chairs ample for seating 10 people.



The Living Area

At the end of the open living space lies a warm and cosy sun lounge with a pair of comfortable 3-seater sofas. The large windows display breathtaking panoramic views of Mount’s Bay providing a peaceful canvas for the perfect relaxing holiday.

Whether you enjoy watching the sea, land or sky, this ever-changing scenery can mesmerize for hours.



The Cinema Room

Situated across the hall from the open-plan living space is a large cinema room fitted with a huge 65″ Samsung TV, surround sound system and easy-access HDMI port. Two large corner sofas provide plenty of comfy seating for all the family to enjoy hours of entertainment.



The Master Bedroom

Trehaven’s master suite has a king-size hypnos bed with open hanging space and shelving. A contemporary en-suite shower room adjoins this bedroom with a shower, basin and toilet. The smaller window faces east for the morning sun, but the large main window faces south, and from the bed you can look out onto the stunning views of Mount’s Bay.



Bedroom 2

This twin room is a has a refreshing nature feeling with hypnos beds and plenty of space for clothing. It’s windows face north and east catching the bright morning sun.



Main Bathroom

Situated between Bedroom 2 and 3 lies the family-sized bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.



Bedroom 3

This room has a large north facing window with a king-size hypnos bed, lots of hanging space and open shelving are provided. An en-suite shower room also adjoins this bedroom with a shower, basin and toilet.



Bedroom 4

Another twin room with an east facing window, this time located in the west-wing of the property it is fitted with hypnos beds and ample open hanging and shelving space.



Bedroom 5

Also located in the west-wing is another king-sized bedroom with a hypnos bed and plenty of open storage space. The windows in this room face north and east with light from the glorious morning sun.



West-Wing Bathroom

This bathroom serves Bedroom 4 and 5 and is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.



Entrance and Utility Room

The main entrance to the property opens into the utility and cloak room, a large space fitted with with a washing machine, sink, worktop and coat hooks. There is also a hoover, small travel ironing board, clothes drying racks, brush and shoe trays. In one of the cupboards is an iron, hairdryer and an anti-slip mat for the showers, and a shower chair, highchair and travel cot are also available on request.



Garden

Wrapping around the southern side of the property is a large enclosed garden with secure fencing, perfect for enjoying the Cornish sun with all the family.



Patio

Above the garden is a raised patio area perfect for sun bathing on the deckchairs and enjoying the spectacular views of Mount’s Bay. With access from the house and the garden, this is a wonderful place to relax.



Fire Pit and Outdoor Dining

On the western side of the property is an outdoor dining area with picnic bench and chairs. Below this is a cosy firepit perfect for a summer BBQ or staying warm on a clear starry night.

This area is separated from the main garden by a gate, and the firepit also has a latching gate for the safety of young children and dogs.



Dog Friendly

We welcome up to 4 well-behaved and house-trained dogs in Trehaven (sorry, no puppies). We charge £20 per dog, per week. Just under a kilometer away from Trehaven is a mile-long stretch of dog-friendly beach with acres of sand to run on when the tide is fully out! Outside there is a tap and hose for washing off their dirty/sandy paws after an exciting day exploring. A towel is provided for a good dry off and rub down!

The garden is fenced with a lawn area, and a mess bin is provided for you to clear up into. We respectfully ask that all dogs are kept off the furniture and beds during their stay, and that they are never left unattended in the properties at any time. A list of dog-friendly beaches, pubs, vets etc. is available. Also suggestions for walks and days out with your best friend(s). Doggie day care businesses, dog sitters and kennels are available locally for the days/evenings when you might want to explore alone.
